Layover in LA

So my journey into Middle Earth began today.  My alarm went off at 4am and we left for Logan at 4:45am for my 7:10am flight. We boarded on time, but right before we were about to start off, they found a pressure issue with one of the fuel pumps and the flight was delayed on the ground for about 1hour.  But once we were up in the air things went smoothly.  The flight was 6.5hours (only half of what is to come) and landed at 11:30am (LA time= 2:30pm EST). I didn't eat on the plane so I was starting to get a headache, but I finally was able to get food in my day room at a nearby hotel to help pass the 11hour layover. I napped and watched some TV to pass the time and left at 6pm for LAX. My luggage was transferred from my other flight so I didn't need to check it again, so getting my boarding pass and getting through security was pretty easy.  Now I am waiting at the gate for the final 3 hours.

There are so many students here at the gate though.  A few are on different programs and schools, but so many are here with Arcadia and are also going to the University of Otago.  Talking to all these people that I will spend so much time with during orientation is very exciting and I know that I will make many new friends this semester.  LET THE JET LAG BEGIN!!
